![]() But yeah, getting someone to do it is expensive. One day I'll get proper POE cameras and run CAT cable through the attic. Right now I'm just running the cable through a nearby window lol. ![]() The Lumus cameras just need access to an outlet. I could live with the battery life and underwhelming video quality, but I didn't like being dependent on their servers for it to work. ![]() I ended up returning them because of those 3 reasons above. If Eufy decides to shut down the server, you have expensive paperweights. When Eufy's servers go down, you can't view recordings. Homebase should do the authentication and cameras should be viewable on LAN. Sure, there's no subscription, but you still have to have internet access and be able to access their servers since they use server side authentication to view your local recordings. As a result, compression is really high so video quality looks subpar for "2K"Įufy server access required to view your recordings. Eufy promised USB expansion (and still mentions it in their Amazon description) but it's looking unlikely. You pretty much need the solar panels with either system, but as Eufy is already more expensive.ġ6GB storage on the Homebase. They based it on lowest possible settings with very few interactions. I returned my Eufy 2C Pro kit for 3 reasonsĪdvertised battery life is VERY optimistic.
